19. Marta 2008 godine. u svojoj 90-toj godini zivota preminuo je jedna od najznacajnih pisaca Sci-fi zandra Arthur C. Clarke.

Jedan od mojih omiljenih pisaca, mislim da sam procitao sve (ili bar veliku vecinu) sto je prevedeno na nas jezik od njega. Dobro, ne racunam bas ovaj poslednji opus gde je cesto bio u kooprodukciji sa drugim piscima, recimo da je njegov stil prepoznatljiv do pocetka 90'. Defenitivno cu jednog dana kompletirati kolekciju sabrana dela Arthur C. Clarke.

Uzivao sam u svakoj recenici vasih dela mr. Clarke. Rest in Peace.

RIP zaista,
ne samo da je bio dobar pisac, mnoge velike ideje poticu od njega.
Ideja da se radio difuzni satelit lansira u orbitu na odredjenoj daljini kako bi imao geostacionarnu putanju, potice od njega. Zato se pojas na visini od 36000km tacno iznad ekvatora i zove "Klarkov Pojas".
Cuo sam i da neka resenja za "toalete" u svemirskim kapsulama poticu od njega takodje...i ko zna sta jos

Govoreci o vizionarstvu, do kraja svog zivota je bio veliki zagovornik koncepta svemirskog lifta, nazalost nije poziveo da ga vidi

RIP, pitanje je da li ce ovakav covek ponovo isplivati na videlo. Ljudima je sad vazniji isprani TV program od neke vizije buducnosti, ako takav covek i postoji sigurno je debelo ignorisan.

Ovo me je podsetilo da jos nisam procitao poslednje dve odiseje (2061 and 3001), jel to neko preveo kod nas?

Naravno, 3001 je odmah prevedena kako je objavljena na engleskom 1997.

Sve od Klarka je kod nas prevedeno u ediciji Polaris (vecinu prevoda je radio, ako se ne varam, Zoran Zivkovic)...

Potrazi ako negde ima onaj polarisov CD sa 160 knjiga SF-a ukljucujuci i dvadesetak od Klarka.

Znao sam da je covek star, ocekivao sam ovo vec par godina, ali me je i dalje iskreno potreslo... Odrastao sam na njegovim knjigama.

Taj polarisov CD je izdat negde 98 god. i ne postoji vise u prodaji.... a neci vise biti ni izdavan... posto polaris vise ne postoji....
