Opet ja sa autorskim hvalisanjem... :) Pa sta da se radi kad se ostali stide da pokazu svojih ruku delo, ili bar ucestvovanje na nekomprojektu... Mada, ima i osvedocenih primera ignorisanja, nipodastavanja i ruznih stvari kad neko na ES-u prezentuje svoja postignuca pa mozda nije ni cudo sto ljedi nerado pozajuju svoje vrednosti... :) Ja sam suvise mator za kalkulisanja i bojazan u vezi reakcije na nesto cime se ponosim kod mene ne postoji. :)

Zato, nadam se da cete uzivati u zvuku i slici sa prvog spota sa koncerta u Areni, odrzanog neposredno pre Nove Godine.

Da... U ovom spotu se vidi i jedan od clanova ES-a koji je bio na bini kao jedan od veoma vaznih cinilaca/ucesnika celog koncerta!!! :) Bez njegovog veoma napornog i nadasve odgovornog ucesca koncert ni ne bi mogao da se dogodi...

Mum and Dad and Denny saw the passing-out parade at Puckapunyal.
It was a long march from cadets.
The Sixth Battalion was the next to tour, and it was me who drew the card.
We did Canungra, Shoalwater before we left.

Townsville lined the footpaths as we marched down to the quay.

God help me, I was only nineteen.

From Vung Tau, riding Chinooks, to the dust at Nui Dat.
I'd been in and out of choppers now for months.
But we made our tents a home, VB and pinups on the lockers.
An' an Agent Orange sunset through the scrub.

An' can you tell me, doctor, why I still can't get to sleep?
An' night-time's just a jungle dark and a barking M16?
An' what's this rash that comes and goes -- can you tell me what it means?
God help me, I was only nineteen.

A four week operation when each step could mean your last one on two legs.
It was a war within yourself.
But you wouldn't let your mates down 'til they had you dusted off.
So, you closed your eyes and thought about something else.

An' then someone yelled out, "Contact!" and the bloke behind me swore.
We hooked in there for hours, then a Godalmighty roar.
Frankie kicked a mine the day that mankind kicked the moon,
God help me, he was going home in June.

Citat:

Slavenski's Sinfonia Orienta (1933-34) is a setting of ancient texts in their original language,
and it attempts to survey the history of Man's efforts to express religious belief through music.
The work has the subtitle "Symphonic Cantata in seven parts for soloists, chorus and orchestra",
and is dedicated "to the Missa Solemnis of Beethoven".

The first movement, Pagans, has the subtitle, Prehistoric music. "In the beginning", remarks
the composer, "there were only rhythm and cries". The movement consists solely of these two
elements.

The second movement, Musica coloristica, depicts the Hebrews, and opens with a lengthy
instrumental introduction, in which harp, flute and cor anglais imitate the effects of such
ancient instruments as the psalter, chalil, and shofar.

For his third movement, Musica architectonica, the composer turns to the Buddhists, evoking
their music in another lengthy orchestral introduction. The Chorus then takes up the traditional
Buddhist refrain, "Om Mani Padme Hum".

In the fourth movement, Musica melodica, Slavenski evokes the Christian world in a setting of
the Kyrie Eleison. The music consists of two successive canons in four parts, followed by a repeat
of the first canon. Slavenski does not forget that the Cantata is spiritually orientated towards
the East, and there are explicit references in this movement to the style of Byzantine chant.

The fifth movement, Musica articulatiae, is a tribute to the Moslems, the youngest of the
great religious groups. It is in three parts; the first, a tenor solo, is a muezzin's song;
the second, "music in a monastery", is purely instrumental; while the third is a fanatical chorus.

Chorus and soloists remain silent throughout the sixth movement, which is an extended piece
for full orchestra, intended to express the idea of Free Thought, and at the same time to act as
an acknowledgement of music's place as a "super-religion". A slight (and of course unintentional)
tribute to the internationalism of music is implied by the fact that this piece is quite
fortuitously reminiscent of parts of the first movement of Walton's Symphony (which, it will be
noted, dates from the same year as the Sinfonia Orienta).

The final movement, Musica harmoniae, is a Hymn of Toil, with text by the composer himself.
This is intended to represent the religion of our own time. Once again the composer turns towards
the East; it is no accident that the style of the music should be so close to that of the popular
choruses by Soviet composers such as Dzerzhinsky, Shaporin, and the Prokofiev of the opera
War and Peace.

So ends a work that so distinguished an authority as Professor Dent has described as
"most remarkable". Whether or not we agree with the contention advanced in an issue of the
periodical Der neue Rundfunk that Slavenski is "a really great musician with an individual style",
we cannot fail, after hearing the Sinfonia Orienta, to view in a new light the words of a Yugoslav
critic who referred to the composer as "a daring innovator, powerfully striving, without regard
for tradition, to create new values in our music by his enthusiasm for beauty and by his talent
and deep artistic conviction".
