I'm trully dissapointed how things are done. This wasn't something I've planned when I've started the project so many years ago.
Ubuntu, as the most popular distribution amongst Linux users worldwide decided to backport features like nouveau and vga switcheroo
(support for ati hybrid graphics etc) into previous version of kernel. This led to a series of events witch resulted in very angry users.
This hurts image of Linux badly, so upon heavy discussion on LKML we've decided the following:
- Each stable version will appear one month after Ubuntu final release, wich will result in including it before merge window is closed
- This will result in timely 6 month release period
Tako da sada tempo i zvanicno diktira Ubuntu. Gnome, X a sada i kernel, sta je sledece? :)
