Neke od najtezih nesreca su bile udes aviona DC 9 Super 80 Inex Adrie na Korzici (1981), kod Ajacia, zatim udes DC-9-31 kod Vrboveca 1976 - najgori od svih sudar Inex Adrijinog DC-9-31 sa British Airways Tridentom (iznad Zagreba, 113 poginulih, ), imali su i udes DC-9-31 kod Praga (76 poginulih)...
Tu je i udes JAT-ove Caravelle kod Maganika blizu Podgorice (1973, 41 zrtva), kao i Aviogenexov udes na Rijeckom aerodromu (TU-134A, 78 poginulih).
To su nasi najfatalniji udesi.

Narrative:
The aircraft was on a flight from Ljubljana to Ajaccio and entered a holding pattern. The aircraft descended through the minimum holding altitude of 6800 feet and collided near the top of the Mt. San-Pietro (4477 feet high). Factor in the accident was the imprecise language used by the DC-9 crew and the air traffic controller. The DC-9 was flying a holding pattern to lose altitude, but the controller believed the aircraft was going to make a direct descent to begin the final approach. After several aural GPWS warnings (starting 13 seconds before impact) the crew increased engine thrust relatively slowly and pulled up too late to prevent the accident.
Uzrok - nesporazum izmedju kapetana i kontrole letenja, kapetan je usao u krug cekanja da snizi visinu, umesto da odrzava visinu, kontrolor je mislio da je ovo drugo u pitanju, a kako kontrola na tornju tada nije imala AREA radar tamo, nije ni znala gde je avion, posto je on preuzet od prilazne kontrole. Najveca greska je greska naseg kapetana koji nije informisao detaljno kontrolu leta. U kokpitu kapetanovi klinci, masa ljudi, zanimljiva, opustena atmosfera i zbijanje sala. Zadnje sto je zabelezeno (zvucno) su vrisak i psovka pre udarca.
Najgori od svih je sudar Inex Adrijinog DC-9 sa engleskim Tridentom iznad Zagreba:

Narrative:
Flight BA475 (a HS-121 Trident) took from London-Heathrow at 08:32 GMT for a flight to Istanbul. About 1½ hours later, the aircraft approached the ZAG VOR beacon on airway UB5 at FL330 (10000m), heading 116° (speed 905km/h).
At the same time the Inex Adria DC-9-31 also approached the ZAG VOR, but flew airway UB9, climbing from FL260 to FL350. The DC-9 had taken off from Split at 09:48 GMT for a flight to Köln. At 10:14:14 the DC-9 captain radioed that they were climbing through FL325. According to ATC data the Flight BA475 was approaching ZAG VOR at FL335 (FL330 actually). Zagreb ATC asked (in Serbo-Croatian) the Inex flight to maintain their present altitude. At 10:14:38 the crew of flight JP550 replied (also in Serbo-Croatian) that they where maintaining FL330. Three seconds afterwards the outer five meters of the DC-9's left wing cut through the Trident's cockpit.
Due to the sudden decompression, the forward part of the Trident's fuselage disintegrated. The remaining part of the fuselage struck the ground tail-first and slid some 4-5m. to the left.
With it's left wing torn off, the DC-9 tumbled down and hit the ground right-wing first.
CAUSES OF THE ACCIDENT: "1) Direct cause of the accident was the struck of the DC-9 wing into the middle side of the TRIDENT THREE fuselage which occurred at the height of 33.000 feet above Zagreb VOR so that both aircraft became uncontrollable and fell on the ground.; 2) Improper ATC operation; 3) Non-compliance with regulations on continuous listening to the appropriate radio frequency of ATC and non-performance of look-out duty from the cockpits of either aircraft."
Uzrok: Manjak ljudi na zagrebackoj kontroli i nedostatak komunikacije izmedju njih - niko nikom nije predavao sektore, niti su kolege iz donjeg obavestile kolege u gornjem da im stize avion, nisu im ni odneli strip gore (podaci o avionu), te ovi nisu znali sta je u pitanju. Odnosno nisu znali da im dolazi Adria JP550 iz donjeg u gornji (upper level) sektor. Radila su 2 coveka bukvalno i treci na smenu. U sustini nisu krivi jer su bili preumorni i preoptereceni, taj kontrolor je pusten iz zatvora nakon 7 godina. Isto tako je problem bio sto je on kapetana na srpskom obavestio sledecom recenicom:
Zagreb: »Koju visinu sada imate?«
JP 550: »327«.
Zagreb: »Zadrzite se na toj visini i javite prolazak Zagreba.
JP550: »Kojoj visini?«
Zagreb: »Na kojoj ste visini sada u penjanju, jer ... e ... imateavionpredvama na ist... 335, sleva nadesno
JP 550: »0 kej, ostajemo tacno na 330.«
(To je bilo kad je konacno video da nesto nije u redu i dobio strip, par sekundi pre udara, pa je na srpskom obavestio Krumpaka da bi ubrzao stvar, medjutim da je to rekao na Engleskom, mozda, samo mozda bi to cula i engleska posada i odreagovala).
Na zalost englezi ne razumeju srpski. Kapetan Krumpak je momentalno uradio HOLD ALT na autopilotu ali je avion zbog inercije se popeo jos stotinak metara i udario u Tridenta. Engleski piloti su isto imali krivicu - resavali su ukrstene reci i nisu obracali paznju na saobracaj! Na kraju jeste dokazano da i zbog smicanja uglova nisu mogli primetiti, ali svejedno...
Krumpak je pokusao da spase devetku, svo vreme su bili na vezi "Eeee. Adria 550.... nemamo krilo... Adiria 550 gotovo nema spasa... JOJ JOJ JOJ Gotovi gotovi Adio adio Vatra"
Uglavnom je bilo nerazumljivo do tragicnog kraja.
63 putnika je bilo u Tridentu.
To su dva najtragicnija udesa na ovim prostorima.
